SAFETY CHAIN&COUPLER
The SAFETY CHAIN has been used to prevent runaway train. If the coupler of the train fails, the SAFETY CHAIN at the point will hold the entire load that was being held by the failed coupler.
If one has a long and/or heavy train, commonly it will require much heavier and stronger equipment than that of a short light train, and then the safety chain is much necessary.
