Side frame - one of the main structural elements of the bogie framework of the model 18-100. It is manufactured by casting, with additional machining and riveting of wear-resistant plates. Side frame, which transmits the load on the axle through the axle box. Cast alloy steels 20GFL and 20GL.
Bolster To ensure reliability and durability the bolster is casted from steel 20GFL or 20GL.Set lifetime of a bogie frame before a bolster discarding is 30 years. The designated lifetime up to the first depot repair is 2 years, before the first overhaul is 8 years. Established time to failure is at least 2 years.
